All of your paintings are fabulous Ralph. Very impressive. Gouache has such a lovely depth. A look of a bygone era perhaps. I like it very much.
Your website is very informative. I can see how a person could get hooked on this medium. Ro x

VERY Great paintings. Do people ever think that they might be oil paintings? Perhaps you could tell me what brand of gouache you use?
Right now I tend to be a frustrated watercolor painter. Can you suggest a book on gouache landscape painting?

    • Thanks, Jim! Yes, I get the comparison with oils very often. I use DaVinci gouache. I can get larger tubes of DaVinci for a more reasonable price. I generally buy it online . I am finishing up a book on how I use gouache and hope to have it available in the next few weeks.

I just stumbled across your site and although I am a beginner watercolorist I sort of fell into gouache and find I’m loving it. Constantly looking for tutorials on this media and will now start following you for tips. Love your work!!
