All of your paintings are fabulous Ralph. Very impressive. Gouache has such a lovely depth. A look of a bygone era perhaps. I like it very much.
Your website is very informative. I can see how a person could get hooked on this medium. Ro x
VERY Great paintings. Do people ever think that they might be oil paintings? Perhaps you could tell me what brand of gouache you use?
Right now I tend to be a frustrated watercolor painter. Can you suggest a book on gouache landscape painting?

Thanks, Jim! Yes, I get the comparison with oils very often. I use DaVinci gouache. I can get larger tubes of DaVinci for a more reasonable price. I generally buy it online . I am finishing up a book on how I use gouache and hope to have it available in the next few weeks.
I just stumbled across your site and although I am a beginner watercolorist I sort of fell into gouache and find I’m loving it. Constantly looking for tutorials on this media and will now start following you for tips. Love your work!!

thank you.
Glad you found me, Barbara. Thanks and keep chipping.
Your work is amazing. I enjoy painting landscapes but am just getting started. I have so so much to learn.

Secret bridge is my favourite . You have captured the lights perfectly . I used to long to make some paintings like that .
I love your work, Ralph. Very good to be your Wetcanvas friend too. Dwayne
Great Stuff, Ralph! (I’m a writer, not a painter) but your stuff inspires me! Dan in Greenville
